CONTACT LENS SERVICES
Eye examinations evaluate the function and health of the visual system, and may lead to correction for vision problems. Contact lens (CL) services are procedures done in addition to eye examination services in order to achieve safe and effective contact lens wear.
Westerville Eyecare offers different levels of contact lens service depending on patient need.
CONTACT LENS SERVIVES PROVIDED
CONTACT LENS EVALUATION
This service is to assess safety and efficacy of an existing contact lens system. A contact lens prescription will be updated for patients who need minimal change to their current contact lens lens wear system. No follow-up care is included.
CONTACT LENS FITTING
This service is for all new wearers, or current wearers who will be making a significant change in lens type or parameter, and includes as needed: lens design and diagnostic fitting, trial lenses, sample lens care kit, lens insertion & removal training and care instruction, and follow-up care for 30 days to assess vision, physiological response, and patient satisfaction. Contact lens fittings vary in complexity and fee level depending on the type of vision problem present. When the lenses have been shown to be safe and effective, a contact lens prescription will be provided and may be filled in our office.
ELECTIVE CONTACT LENS SERVICES LIMITATION
Treatment of complications such as redness, dryness, infections, inflammatory conditions, injuries, etc. are not part of elective contact lens services. If complications are treated by our office, it is considered a medically necessary visit, and you or your health plan will be responsible for payment.
